Inspired by a classmate in my Global Rhetorics course who exclaimed that he “refused to devolve into using hieroglyphics!”, I created this video for my course in Digital Identity and Culture.
In it, I explore the evolution of human communication — from visual representations to alphabetic texts back to visual styles such as graphic novels, emojis, and internet memes.
After developing my thesis, I performed original research, located appropriate artifacts, developed the storyboard, recorded narration, and created the video.
